Jimbaran Bay beaches are lined with wonderful places to stay from hotels to traditional villas, the kind of hotel that you should expect here is from mid range to five star Bali accommodation. As with all costlier places in Bali the service that you should expect is unmatched. All the Jimbaran Bay Hotels will supply what are basic facilities for these types of establishments ; air con, in house restaurants, bars and 24 hour room service will be the standard package and the personal service you should expect will become more quality orientated as the rates increase. Only a few minutes from the beach there’s some more secluded hillside accommodation that offers better views and more personal facilities. Hotels all offer shuttle services for you to go to the beach or visit Kuta which is only 5 mins drive away.

Although there remains the presence of local fisherman staying here, Jimbaran Bay budget accommodation is sparse and is more customized to the up market tourist, with the costlier resorts offering personal swimming pools, and as you travel a bit more south or north, private beaches. All hotels are beautifully landscaped with tropical gardens that are extremely well-tended and presented. Bali has always created hotels and villas that have outstanding views and superb services and Jimbaran resorts provide all that may be expected from quality Balinese hospitality.

Jimbaran Bay can be found on a Map of Bali situated in the south not far from Bali International airport, where all Bali flights land. Although this is a very popular holiday destination it has not become as commercial as the other places in Bali. Most of the seaside resorts that have sprung up along the coast of Bali were little fishing towns at some point, that have changed into massive commercial traveler attractions. All these resorts have left behind their fishing history and concentrate absolutely on tourism as a source of income.

Staying in one of the Jimbaran Bay hotels is a completely unique experience as the village, although geared towards tourism, has still kept its fishing industry and it isn’t uncommon to see the fisherman on the beach with their traditional fishing boats and nets. The town itself is also a mix of the old and the new. Most of the other places to stay in Bali have a beach covered with restaurants, bars, clubs and shops that are one hundred percent for the use of holiday makers. Jimbaran is an excellent place to stay as the main strip is still suggestive of an Indonesian village which has not been commercialized by the tourist industry. Walking along here you will find food stalls and other facilities that are primarily used by the local Balinese fishing community.

Jimbaran beach is a long beach with the blinding white sand that Bali is known for with flat water all year round. The mix of indigenous and holiday maker places makes it an energetic and engaging place to stay, the architecture although mainly consisting of visitor resorts and hotels is also jumbled in with the local inhabitants conventional dwellings. It is a pity, but as the holiday maker industry grows, this tranquil town will likely go the way of the other favored destinations and it will not be too long before the colourful fishing boats of the fisherman are no longer lining the beach.
